Where it All Began

Our love for the Bernese Mountain Dog began over 10 years ago with our first Berner, ESPN (“Espen”). From the very beginning, he showed us everything that makes this breed so special: a gentle nature, unwavering loyalty, and a calm, loving presence that quickly made him part of every moment of our lives.

Espn was the definition of a gentle giant. Patient and affectionate, he was always happiest surrounded by family and never minded the constant love and attention from our kids. He left a lasting impact on our family and ultimately became the reason Pacific Ridge Berners was created.

As our passion for the breed grew, so did our desire to help preserve the incredible qualities that define the Bernese Mountain Dog. We have since added two exceptional Berners with strong European bloodlines to our program, carefully selected for their temperament, structure, and health.

Our goal is to honor the breed we fell in love with while working toward a healthier future for it by focusing on temperament, longevity, and minimizing the common health concerns seen within the breed, all while preserving the unmistakable characteristics that make Berners such extraordinary companions.

At Pacific Ridge Berners, we are committed to raising dogs that are not only beautiful representations of the breed, but loving, loyal family members for years to come.
